RW Materials

RW Materials is a quarterly engineering journal aimed at bringing together cutting-edge research across the entire spectrum of materials science and engineering. Materials research is a diversified and flourishing area of research. RW materials covers all the fundamental and applied aspects of the synthesis or processing, structure or composition, properties and performance of materials, designed or manipulated to deal with the current technological challenges. RW Materials is an important resource for all scientists, in both academia and industry, who are active in the process of discovering and developing materials and materials-related concepts. RW Materials also encourages the exchange of ideas between chemists, physicists, material scientists, biomedical researchers, engineers and other researchers who are active at the frontiers of this diverse and multidisciplinary field.

Research areas covered (but not limited to)

  • Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology: Research on materials with nanoscale dimensions and their applications in various fields such as electronics, medicine, energy, and environmental science. Topics may include synthesis methods, characterization techniques, and novel applications of nanomaterials.
  • Advanced Materials: The development of new materials with superior properties and functionalities compared to conventional materials. Research topics may include advanced alloys, ceramics, polymers, composites, and coatings as well as emerging materials such as metamaterials and 2D materials.
  • Materials Characterization: Techniques and methods for characterizing the structure, properties, and performance of materials at various length scales. Topics may include microscopy, spectroscopy, diffraction, thermal analysis, and mechanical testing, etc.

All submitted manuscripts will be checked for originality using the CrossCheck database. For more information on CrossCheck please visit http://www.crossref.org/crosscheck.html.

Special Issues

The journal seeks to publish focussed, coherent thematic volumes that will be of lasting use to the community, well cited, and of the highest quality – the same quality as regular research papers in the journal.

All interested experts should prepare a proposal for the proposed topic within the scope of the journal. After receiving the Special Issue proposals, journal Editors-in-Chief and selected Associate Editors will evaluate its feasibility. A decision is expected within 2-3 weeks from submission.
